Tips for Setting Up a Home Studio forVirtual Yoga Classes

There are a numerous benefits to creating a true yoga space in your home. It’s convenient and saves you time, money, and effort. If you can’t dedicate an entire room, portions of a room can work great, too.

“Of course the pandemic had everyone practicing at their homes,” says Nicholas Kimps, owner of DIVO Wellness. “What I’ve found is that during that time, people built these amazing spaces for practicing. Many have continued to do Virtual Yoga with us in the comfort of their own home studio.”

Here are a few tips to create a space that’s perfect for you:

  • First, position a TV or monitor for easy viewing from your yoga footprint.

  • The second order of business is to de-clutter the space. It’s important to start off with a clean and organized area. Get rid of anything that’s distracting or doesn’t serve a purpose.

  • Choose peaceful colors that make your space soothing and relaxing.

  • Add plants to set the mood and bring some of nature inside your studio. Use potted plants, hanging planters, and terrariums.

  • Consider mood lighting for your focus and meditation. Dimmable LED lights and color-changing lights are a great option.

  • Use scented candles, diffusers, and essential oils. These will snap you into a relaxed mood.
