“Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.” - H. Auden

Water is what makes life as we know it possible on this planet, including humans. Love, an emotion, probably more apt, an experience, is one aspect of the human condition. Life can and will continue without it, albeit dysfunctional and disharmoniously, however our planet would cease to exist, as we know it, in the absence of water. Although, interestingly, water tends to be symbolic of emotion, and creates all manner of fun eddies to intellectually spinoff into. Ironic, we, in our lacks of love have used and abused our world for its resources, to the point that even the waters are polluted; the one thing we cannot live without. It’s no coincidence that the planet is around 70 percent water, and our bodies about 60. The planet is the macrocosm to which we are fractally reflective in the most brilliant of ways. It should be no surprise with how we treat each other and ourselves that our planet would be so disheveled and that lack of love would be discernible in orders of magnitude, Fibonaccically speaking, from minutia to the gargantuan. We have a lot to learn in the creation of balance, well remembrance of, as we move forward into the future. Starting within the self and radiating out words through the layers of perspective and perception to heal and save ourselves from courses of action that do not lead anywhere.
On this day, I will think about where I have been sacrificing essential nutrients in my life for personal gain, or just in ignorance. I will contemplate how much I’ve made love essential and yet seem to neglect the most essential of all. I will seek balance, even for just 5 minutes, today!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
